US: Sailors Welcomed With Hugs And Kisses As USS Gravely Returns Home To Norfolk

Norfolk, United States - June 09, 2025 On June 9, the USS Gravely (DDG 107) returned to Naval Station Norfolk after a three-month deployment. The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer had operated in the U.S. Northern Command’s area of responsibility. Gravely deployed under maritime homeland defense authorities. A U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment was also on board. Their mission focused on maritime interdiction to stop illegal drugs, migration, and other unlawful activities. USNORTHCOM and the Department of Homeland Security are working together to increase border security. A video shows emotional scenes as loved ones waited to welcome the sailors with hugs and kisses.
