Norfolk, United States - July 14, 2024

Naval Station Norfolk was a scene of heartfelt reunions as loved ones gathered to welcome back the crew of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gravely (DDG 107) after their nine-month deployment at sea. On July 14, 2024, hugs, squeals of delight, and well-deserved kisses filled the air as families and friends embraced their returning sailors.

The USS Gravely had departed Norfolk on October 14, 2023, as part of the Ike Carrier Strike Group led by the USS Eisenhower. During its deployment in the Atlantic, the ship played a crucial role in maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts, and collaborated closely with NATO Allies and Partners to ensure regional stability.
