This is the dramatic moment Chinese staff at a supermarket blocked suspected shoplifters from escaping in Australia.

Two young women were allegedly caught stealing items from the Chemist Warehouse store in Chatswood, New South Wales. They appeared to be expecting to walk out without any further action.

But footage shows three angry Asian workers at the franchise barricading the exit as they confronted the agitated pair on June 10.

The suspects were seen trying to force their way out, temporarily blocking other customers from exiting the shop.

The store manager was heard repeatedly telling the woman to 'take it out' while she denied the accusations and continued pushing against the employees.

In another clip, three other workers surrounded one of the suspects wearing a black hooded jacket.

Frustrated, she threw her shoulder bag on the ground and said: ‘Go open my bag. I don't have anything.'

The filmer said that the two women eventually relented and waited for law enforcement to arrive.

They were later taken to a police station, where officers allegedly retrieved the two stolen silver bracelets.
