Jaén, Spain - June 13, 2025 A spectacular fireball, designated SPMN130625B, streaked across the sky over the province of Jaén early this morning at 2:29 a.m. UTC (4:29 a.m. local time). The fireball displayed multiple bright flashes, captured from several regions across Spain. In Estepa, Sevilla, clear recordings showed bursts of intense luminosity as the object moved overhead. From La Aparecida, a district of Orihuela in Alicante, the fireball was so bright it briefly rivaled the full moon, dominating the opposite edge of the night sky. Panoramic footage from Arroyomolinos, Cáceres, also recorded the event, even from a distance of 320 kilometers. Despite some distortion caused by optical sensor limitations, the celestial object remained clearly visible. In Murcia, it was seen from the town of Cehegín, where local observers recorded the fireball’s vivid trajectory across the pre-dawn sky. Astonishingly, it was also detected from Navianos de Valverde, Zamora—more than 550 kilometers away—despite the brightness of the full moon. The fireball appeared over the southern-southeastern horizon, showcasing a dramatic entrance and leaving witnesses in awe of the natural phenomenon.
