The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said evacuation orders remain in place for areas marked in red, urging residents to leave immediately. Evacuation warnings were issued for surrounding zones marked in yellow, with residents advised to prepare for possible evacuation. “If you feel you are in danger, GO,” the sheriff’s department said in a social media post, stressing the rapidly changing fire conditions. A temporary evacuation point has been established at the Walmart Supercenter at 13487 Camino Canada in El Cajon for displaced residents. The Monte Fire is burning in the Lakeside area of the county.
