This is the moment a hungry tot casually gobbled up a fly while snacking on fruit.

Baby Maeve, then just 10 months old, was in her high chair enjoying raisins and blueberries when a fly landed on the tray.

Mum Emma, 32, who didn't wish to reveal her last name was filming the innocent mealtime moment when the little girl suddenly picked up the insect and popped it straight into her mouth.

Emma, a stay-at-home mum from Lincolnshire, UK, said: "I didn't even notice the fly at the time."

"It was only when I re-watched the video that I saw it crawl across the tray and Maeve pick it up. "

"I was like 'Oh my God, she ate a fly!"

"I was in shock."

"I couldn't believe a 10-month-old managed to catch a fly, let alone eat it!"
