Man 'takes nap' on train tracks before police remove him
This video captures a man appearing to take a nap on train tracks before being removed by police.
Onye Ezeh, 34, was travelling home to Manchester last week (October 14) when her train was delayed because of someone lying on the tracks at Barnsley station.
Onye captured video of the man stretched out on the rails as police attended the scene.
Officers initially struggled to move him, as he appeared to be sleeping or intoxicated, but they eventually managed to take him away.
Onye said her train was delayed for around 15 to 20 minutes.
Onye, an artist from Manchester, UK, said: "The man just got up on the platform and climbed down onto the tracks."
"He seemed to be drunk and he lay on the tracks for about 10 minutes."
"Police arrived at the station quickly but said they couldn't move him from the tracks."
"Not sure what changed but five minutes later they were picking him up and moving him."
"My train was delayed for about 15-20 minutes in the end."
South Yorkshire Police and Northern Rail have been contacted for comment.
