This is the amusing moment a parrot carefully ate seeds from a freshly cut dragon fruit.

The two-year-old bird named Nava delicately picked out and munched on the black seeds from the bright pink fruit in Bangkok, Thailand.

Time-lapse footage shows the hungry avian pecking at the black seeds without eating the white flesh of the dragon fruit.

The pet bird perched on a white plate, tucking into its meal without making a mess on April 7.

Nava can be seen collecting each seed and placing them neatly under its chin before gently wiping them off onto the edge of the plate.

The pet owner said: 'Normally, parrotlets tend to be messy eaters, flinging bits of fruit and seeds everywhere. But Nava's behavior is unusually neat.'
