The victims were struck in the Al-Shakoush area, where Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted aid distribution points, eyewitnesses told Anadolu. Their bodies were brought to Al-Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, where mourners gathered for emotional farewells. Since May 7, Israel has been distributing limited aid through the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," a mechanism backed by Israel and the U.S. but rejected by the UN and international relief organizations. Palestinians relying on this aid have faced daily attacks, with many shot dead while waiting in line. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 450 Palestinians have been killed and 3,466 injured in Israeli attacks on aid distribution areas since May 27. In its latest update, the Health Ministry said 55,908 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s military offensive since October 2023, with 131,138 wounded. Over the past 48 hours alone, 202 bodies were brought to hospitals, and 1,037 people were injured. The Israeli army resumed attacks on March 18, breaking a temporary ceasefire, and has since killed 5,599 people and injured 19,097, according to Gaza authorities. In November 2023, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its military actions in the enclave. Writing by Sibel Uygun
