London, United Kingdom - June 24, 2025 On June 24, a van erupted in flames outside St Pancras International station, triggering a swift response from emergency services and causing disruption near one of the city’s busiest transport hubs. Emergency crews quickly arrived on scene, including police and firefighters. Two fire engines and around ten firefighters from Kentish Town fire station battled the blaze. The van was completely destroyed. London Fire Brigade said they were alerted at 10:17 a.m. and had the fire under control by 11:01 a.m. Eight emergency calls were made by members of the public. Authorities confirmed the fire is being treated as accidental. While rail services continued unaffected, the west entrance to King’s Cross Station was temporarily closed. Bus routes 46 and 214 were diverted during the incident. The road was reopened shortly after the fire was extinguished. King’s Cross St Pancras is the busiest station on the London Underground network, with up to 267,000 passengers daily.
