SHOTLIST: PORTICELLO, SICILY, ITALY (JUNE 22, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. VARIOUS OF WIDE SHOT OF "HEBO LIFT 10" CRANE TRANSPORTING WRECK OF LUXURY YACHT "BAYESIAN" TO TERMINI IMERESE PORT IN SICILYPORTICELLO, SICILY, ITALY - JUNE 22: The wreck of the luxury yacht Bayesian was transported to the port of Termini Imerese on Sunday, June 22, after being lifted from the seabed during a large-scale recovery operation off the coast of Sicily. The Hebo Lift 10, one of Europe's most powerful maritime cranes, was used to recover the wreck while Hebo Lift 2, a multipurpose barge, carried out the preparatory work on site through an underwater inspection of the wreck and surrounding area using a remotely operated submarine. The 56-meter (184-foot) British-flagged superyacht capsized last Aug. 19 due to heavy rains and stormy weather about 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) east of Palermo, southern Italy. Seven people died in the incident, including British billionaire Mike Lynch and his daughter along with Recaldo Thomas, the yacht’s chef. The yacht had 22 people on board at the time. Fifteen were rescued, one body was recovered shortly after the incident, and six others initially reported missing were found dead in the following days. Recovery operations began in early May with around 70 technicians and experts mobilized on the island of Sicily. Judicial authorities in Termini Imerese are leading the investigation, joined by experts from the United Kingdom to help determine the cause of the sinking.
