Cape Canaveral, United States - June 23, 2025 SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket early Monday, June 23, 2025, carrying 27 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit. The mission, named Starlink 10-23, lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 1:58 a.m. EDT. The launch followed a last-minute abort on Sunday due to a poor signal from the rocket’s flight termination system. SpaceX resolved the issue, ensuring a successful liftoff. The Falcon 9’s first stage booster, B1069, flew for the 25th time, having previously supported missions like CRS-24 and Eutelsat’s Hotbird 13F. Just over eight minutes after launch, B1069 landed on the droneship ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ in the Atlantic Ocean. This marked the 114th landing for the droneship and SpaceX’s 465th booster landing overall. The Starlink satellites will enhance SpaceX’s global internet constellation. This mission was SpaceX’s 57th Starlink launch of 2025, part of 76 Falcon 9 flights this year. The company aims for 170 Falcon rocket launches by year’s end, despite challenges like a growing wildfire near Vandenberg Air Force Base threatening other launch pads.
