Earlier that day, a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that Israeli strikes targeted the Tharallah (Sarallah) Base of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is responsible for defending Tehran, as well as the headquarters of the Iranian Basij militia.
