The gathering took place in front of Mar Marcurcus Church, where candles were lit and prayers were offered in remembrance of those killed in Sunday evening’s terrorist attack by Daesh (ISIS) on the Mar Elias Church in the Douwayla neighborhood of Damascus. The attack was condemned by Türkiye, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, France, Iraq, and Bahrain.
