Moorpark, United States - June 27, 2025 A semitruck collided with a Metrolink train in a rural agricultural area of Moorpark, a small city in Ventura County, on Wednesday afternoon, killing the truck driver. The crash happened at 2:15 p.m. at a private crossing near Los Angeles Avenue and Montair Drive. Metrolink train 118, carrying 11 passengers, struck the truck and trailer on private farmland. The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One train passenger was hospitalized with injuries, but their condition is unclear. The collision caused major damage, pushing part of the truck one-third of a mile down the track. All five train cars and the engine remained upright. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. Due to the crash, Metrolink service to Ventura East Station was restricted to Moorpark.
