Los Angeles, United States - December 18, 2025 12/18/2025 02:03 pm GMT-0800 CAMARILLO, Calif. – Ventura County Fire Department personnel and officers with the California Highway Patrol Ventura Area office responded to reports of a collision between a train and a vehicle at the railroad crossing at the intersection of Las Posas Road and East 5th Street. First responders arrived to find that the eastbound Metrolink train 118 had struck a pickup truck that had been cut in half. The train continued eastward with the front half of the truck before coming to a complete stop approximately three-quarters of a mile east of the crossing. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. No injuries were reported among the train passengers, who were subsequently offloaded and taken to the next station via bus.
