While walking through town in Guaznghou, China, Valeria was followed by a man who persistently tried to get her attention. She ignored him, hoping he’d leave, but instead, he got aggressive and attempted to grab her hand.

Feeling unsafe, Valeria began filming. The video captures the moment when another man noticed the situation and stepped in, helping de-escalate the encounter and protect her.

Luckily, another guy noticed what was happening and calmly stepped in. He didn’t fight — since fighting in China can lead to jail — but he told the man I was recording everything and advised him to walk away.
Thankfully, that worked and the man left. Stay safe out there, and thank you to the stranger who helped.
