After a fire broke out in a residential building in northern China, a mother trying to escape accidentally dropped her baby and it was caught by a heroic man below.

The terrifying video, captured in Qitaihe City in Heilongjiang Province on January 24, shows a woman with a baby in her arms sitting on the edge of a window on the second floor.

When she tries to pass her baby to a man standing on a ledge on the first floor, the baby suddenly falls out of the clothes wrapped around him.

Thanks to the man’s quick reaction, he catches the baby and passes him to other rescuers safely.

According to reports, a corridor on the second floor of a residential building caught fire and heavy smoke rose up.

Fortunately, the woman and the baby were both rescued safely.
