The wedding ceremony is considered one of the country's most significant cultural events. Many visitors from across North Macedonia and abroad attended the special ceremony, where the bride and groom were married according to traditional customs. Crowds gathered to witness the wedding of Jovan Filiposki and Liljana Mihajloska, celebrated with traditional rituals, music, and folk dances. Highlights included the groom’s traditional shave in the village square, a colorful wedding procession accompanied by drums and zurnas, and a religious ceremony at the local church. President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov were among the attendees at the multi-day event, which began on July 11 under the auspices of the Presidency and with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
