Video shows that the village of Batinci, in the municipality of Studenicani, was particularly affected on Wednesday (April 02), with dozens of homes damaged. Following heavy rainfall overnight, the Markova River overflowed, flooding many homes in Batinci and damaging roads. Speaking to an Anadolu reporter in the village, the mayor of Studenicani, Azem Sadiki, confirmed that no casualties had been reported. He described the situation as critical during the night, but noted that the community was fortunate to have avoided more serious damage. Municipal teams, supported by private companies, immediately began efforts to prevent further flooding, and the river has since begun to recede. Sadiki also reported minor flood damage to a local bridge, which has since been reopened. In addition to Batinci, flooding was also reported in the villages of Ljubosh, Pintija, Gorno Lisiche and Dolno Lisiche.
