Students performed a captivating mass dance performance as part of their pre-graduation event.

Footage shows hundreds of youngsters moving in sync on an open ground surrounded by university buildings in Manila, the Philippines.

They walked in lines and gradually formed flower-like shapes, creating a mesmerising visual display.

Classmates and teachers from the upper levels watched the coordinated routine on July 11.

Student Yzrael said: 'Sampaguita Interlude is a tradition in the Centro Escolar University, which is celebrated a few days before graduation day. It started in the year 1938, and from then on, it has become a significant event.

'The ceremony marks the turnover of duties and responsibilities of the graduating seniors to the juniors who will succeed them.'

Sampaguita is the national flower of the Philippines. It belongs to the jasmine family and is a small, white, sweet-scented bloom.
