Army dog tucks into food instead of rescuing soldier handler
This is the hilarious moment an army dog chose food over rescuing its soldier handler.
The serviceman pretended to be hurt to test whether Embot, his K9 partner, would come to his aid in Roi Et, Thailand.
Amusing footage shows the trainer collapsing onto his stomach and loudly groaning just inches away from the German Shepherd on May 20.
However, the dog continued to munch on its favourite treat, savouring every bite rather than helping its owner.
The soldier repeatedly called for help, but Embot only turned his attention to him after finishing the snack.
The animal then immediately sprinted over, wagging its tail as it sniffed around the man.
The soldier said: 'Embot is a trained dog assigned to assist in apprehending criminals and restraining dangerous individuals.
'That day, I decided to check what he would do if something happened to me, and the result was just disappointing.'
German Shepherds are among the most intelligent dog breeds. They can learn commands quickly and perform complex tasks reliably. They are highly trainable and eager to work, making them ideal for following precise instructions in stressful situations.
