KONYA, TÜRKİYE - RECENT, JULY 2025: Hundreds of visitors have been flocking to a lavender garden in central Türkiye this July, drawn by the vibrant purple blooms. The relaxing smell in the air adds to the experience during the peak blooming season. Located in Konya province, the Karatay Lavender Garden has become a major attraction for nature lovers as well as photography enthusiasts with its picturesque scene. Being the largest one in the country, the garden covers a total area of 340,000 square meters, with more than 300,000 lavender plants in bloom. Lavender offers multiple health benefits, including reducing the risk of arteriosclerosis, stroke, and heart attack, while its tea helps prevent blood clotting and lowers cholesterol. Its calming effects improve sleep quality, reduce inflammation in upper respiratory infections, and support the body’s natural detoxification through increased urination.
