A flight stewardess has been dubbed an "angel in disguise" for her ability to calm down a little girl who was panicking.

A passenger on a flight from Pittsburgh to New York filmed as the kind-hearted stewardess tucked the little girl into her first-class seat.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was sitting in first class on the way from PIT to LGA. A little girl got on the plane with her mama but as they approached the end of the jet bridge, she began panicking. Her mom got her on the pane somehow but the child was terrified.

"Fast forward a couple minutes and I see the warmest, kindest flight attendant leading the child to First class with her doll and speaking soothing words to her (her mom followed with their bags). The girl was so stunned and the attendants continued to talk to her to calm her down.

"Turns out someone in her preschool had told her that airplanes crash once they get in the sky. Poor child. The attendant saw the panic and helped her. Beautiful to behold."
