Officials reported that hundreds of fires have broken out nationwide, forcing tens of thousands of residents to evacuate temporarily. Two people were killed by the blazes earlier this month in the western province of Izmir. As fires continue to spread, a message shared alongside the footage read, “We are up against an enemy that never gets hungry, never tires, never rests.
