China: Traditional clothing draws 'China Travel' tourists
Storyline: Traditional clothing draws 'China Travel' tourists [Voice_over] China's tourism industry is thriving this summer. At many of the country's historical spots, one of the most popular activities for travelers is to wear traditional Hanfu clothing for a few memorable pictures. From Zhejiang to Anhui, dressing up in old fashioned costumes while a professional snaps your photo have become a major draw for tourists at many of the intangible cultural heritage locations. Indian visitor Adinan spoke highly of Hanfu culture noting the confidence he felt while wielding the sword as a prop. [Sound_bite] Adinan, Indian Tourist: "Once in a lifetime experience. So many dresses from different parts of China. These things I haven't seen in the TV or anywhere. So from here I got to know this part of China." [Voice_over] In Anhui's ancient village, tourists say the Hanfu photo shoots are truly memorable. The village has even hired guides that speak various languages to better cater to overseas guests. [Sound_bite] Thai Tourist: "Such experiences are rare in my country. The outfits are stunning, and the settings here are perfect for photos." [Voice_over] Driven by the continued easing of the country's foreign tourist visa policies, some 2.56 million foreign travelers entered China through Shanghai's international airports in the first half of this year, marking a roughly 45 percent increase, year on year.
