Storyline: China's ancient capital city Luoyang makes historical, cultural blocks livable, profitable [Voice_over] A group of historic buildings in Luoyang city of central China's Henan Province has been transformed into boutique hotels to cater to the region's growing tourism industry. Luoyang City served as the capital of China for 13 dynasties - that's more than 1,500 years. By revitalizing and utilizing historical buildings and traditional dwellings, the area has become a thriving hub for Luoyang's cultural tourism development and urban revitalization. [Sound_bite] Wu Jing, Hotel manager: "Our hotel is actually a century-old house. We retain 70 percent of its original appearance. For example, this pillar is what it was a hundred years ago, and we just redesigned and rearranged it." [Voice_over] The hotels also include other cultural elements- like traditional clothing and cuisine - to create a unique and immersive experience. Hanfu is the traditional clothing of the Han people, China's dominant ethnic group. Getting to cos-play while visiting the region is a highlight for many tourists. [Sound_bite] Wang Yixiao, Tourist: "Luoyang is an ancient capital, and I'm interested in its history. Plus, it's also famous for its Hanfu. It's quite quaint, and I really like it."
