DUBLIN, IRELAND - JULY 26: Thousands of people gathered in Dublin on Saturday, July 26, to denounce racism and demand justice after a violent assault on an Indian national in the Tallaght area last week.

The demonstration, organized by migrant community groups and supported by advocacy organizations including AkiDwA, MASI, MRCI, and ROSA, began at City Hall before marching toward the Dáil (Irish Parliament).

Protesters carried signs condemning hate crimes and chanted slogans calling for stronger government action against racism.

The attack, which occurred on July 19, left an Indian man in his 40s severely injured after he was assaulted and partially stripped by a group in Tallaght. Disturbing images circulated online showed the victim bleeding from facial and bodily wounds. He was treated at Tallaght University Hospital, and An Garda Síochána (Irish police) have launched an investigation.

False allegations accusing the man of inappropriate behavior around children were spread online, including by far-right and anti-immigrant accounts, further inflaming tensions.
