Civilians donating blood in Thailand's border province of Surin have expressed their desire to help amid an ongoing conflict with Cambodia, while also calling for peace. "This is my first time, I've wanted to donate for a long time, but I'm an anemic. This time, I passed the test, so I came to donate. Because like everyone, I want to help, because the situation is not normal now. I would like to help as much as I can," said a donor. "Today is my first blood donation. I want to help the soldiers and all the injured people. I want this fighting, this clash to stop, and I want to send strength and encouragement to them," said another donor. Clashes in the border areas between Cambodia and Thailand began on Thursday, with both sides accusing each other of violating international law. As of Sunday, more than 30 people have been killed from both sides, and more than 100,000 people have been evacuated to safe areas, according to figures provided by the competent authorities of the two countries.
