5. SUNSET AT RED SEA RED SEA, EGYPT - JULY 29, 2025: Tahsin Ceylan, underwater photographer and videographer, and his team used a fish-eye lens to document bioluminescence, on Tuesday, July 29, in Egypt’s Red Sea.

Bioluminescence, defined as the biological emission of light by marine organisms, has been captured using a new scientific imaging system equipped with a "fish-eye" lens.

Thanks to advanced imaging systems developed by scientists, underwater photographers are now able to capture bioluminescence from the “eye of the fish,” Ceylan noted.

This innovative technique offers a fresh perspective on underwater photography, capturing the glowing phenomenon that helps sea creatures communicate.
