On Wednesday, Aug. 6, three Malaysian Maritime Rescue personnel deployed a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to aid underwater search efforts, officials said.

The Malaysian Maritime Department (JLM) reported that the yacht’s last Automatic Identification System (AIS) signal was detected about eight nautical miles from Pulau Yu Kecil. Search teams are focusing on that location and surrounding sectors.

No confirmed debris or personal belongings have been recovered, but crews remain active and are monitoring for any sign of the missing vessel or its occupant.
