Kung fu movie legend Jackie Chan showed his age - hilariously failing a baton-catching challenge when he missed every single one.

Jackie, 71, tried his hand at the fast-paced reaction game, but despite his lightning reflexes on screen, not a single stick landed in the ageing actor's grasp.

Footage shows Jackie standing in the centre of the contraption while suspenseful music playing at the premiere of his latest movie on August 4.

He stood in a focused stance before the sticks fell one by one, but each time, he moved just a split second too late, failing to catch any.

The action star drew nervous laughter as he cracked a joke each time he missed, until the game ended with a score of zero.

His latest movie, ‘The Shadow's Edge', is scheduled to hit cinemas across China on August 16.

In the show, Jackie plays an expert from the Macau Police Service who is rehired to work with a team of young detectives to track down thieves.
