Artist makes beautiful mosaic using mussel shells
A Thai artist created a beautiful mosaic using mussel shells.
Art Chakrit crafted an 11.8 square inch shell inlay of the Buddha, titled Boon Baramee, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Footage shows the step-by-step process of his work. He washed the seashells, cut them into pieces, and arranged them to form a flat mosaic surface for his artwork.
He then ground the glued pieces to achieve a polished, smooth finish before drawing the Buddha image in the 'Naga Protection' posture with seven heads.
The image is believed to protect the owner from evil and bad fortune.
