Jude Cairns was cycling home one evening on a Lime bike when a red fox suddenly sprang into pursuit.

Taken aback, he pulled over to film a video message for a friend, eager to capture the bizarre moment.

Just as he pressed record, the fox leapt from behind a parked car, its glowing eyes cutting through the dusk as it chased him along the road.

Jude told Newsflare: “The glowing eyes scared the life out of me. It was blocking my route home."

I was cycling home one evening on a Lime bike, and out of nowhere a fox had started chasing me. I got my phone out to send a video message of me talking about it to a friend, and just as I start recording the same fox jumps out from behind a car and began chasing me again! The glowing eyes scared the life out of me! Blocking the route too my house! It took around 25 minutes for me to finally get in the door when I was only a minute away.
