GAZA, PALESTINE - AUG. 22, 2025): Palestinians in northern Gaza were uprooted once again on Friday, August 22, as Israeli attacks intensified in the area.
Residents sought shelter in areas they considered safer, carrying with them whatever belongings they could carry.
Fatma Rayhan, a Palestinian woman facing yet another displacement, said she had been forced to leave her home more than ten times amid repeated Israeli attacks. She vowed that despite the ongoing violence, she and her community would remain in their homeland until death, insisting that no force could drive them out of Gaza.
Israel has killed nearly 62,100 Palestinians in its brutal war on Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
