Jerusalem, Israel - September 01, 2025 Jerusalem special patrol officers arrested a Palestinian man suspected of planning to seize a soldier’s weapon and carry out an attack. The suspect, who entered Israel illegally through the separation barrier near Al-Ram, was stopped during a routine patrol after raising officers’ suspicions. During the search, police discovered a black kippah in his possession. Investigators determined that prior to his arrest, he intended to use the stolen weapon for an attack. The swift response and vigilance of the officers thwarted his plans. Following questioning by investigators at the Shalem police station, sufficient evidence was gathered, and the Jerusalem District Prosecution Unit has filed a prosecutor’s declaration against him.
