TEHRAN, IRAN - SEPT. 3: A giant poster unveiled in Tehran accuses Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of endangering children’s lives, calling him a “criminal lunatic” amid the ongoing war in Gaza.

“The criminal lunatic Netanyahu is gambling with your children’s lives,” the banner reads.

It shows the Israeli leader sitting on a pile of dead and wounded soldiers, symbolizing Israel’s losses in Gaza, and Netanyahu’s struggle to maintain power.

Netanyahu has come under fire from broad sections of Israeli society for prioritizing the occupation over a cease-fire agreement in Gaza and the release of hostages.

Despite mounting pressure from the international community and the Israeli public, Netanyahu has refused to agree to a deal that would end the attacks on Gaza and instead ordered his army to occupy the city.

The Israeli army has launched a brutal military offensive on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 63,600 Palestinians in Gaza. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
