FRENCH ACTIVIST SEBASTIAN SPEAKING TO REPORTER (English) GENEVA, SWITZERLAND - SEPT. 3: Dozens of pro-Palestinian activists from various countries set up a tent protest outside the United Nations office in Geneva on Wednesday, Sept. 3, demanding international action to stop what they called a "genocide" in Gaza. The demonstration took place beside the Broken Chair monument, a symbol of opposition to armed violence against civilians. Protesters displayed mannequins, blood-stained children’s clothes and shoes to represent children killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. They also called for international sanctions against Israel and urged the deployment of military protection for civilians in Gaza. The Israeli army has launched a brutal military offensive on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 63,700 Palestinians in Gaza. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Premier Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
