Kasur, Pakistan - September 05, 2025 The largest rescue and relief operation in Pakistan’s history is underway along the River Sutlej. Over 150,000 people and 200,000 livestock have been safely evacuated. The Pakistan Army, Rangers, Rescue 1122, police, and district authorities are working around the clock with boats, ambulances, and heavy machinery. Dozens of villages have been submerged, more than 50 houses destroyed, and hundreds partially damaged. Thousands of flood victims are sheltering along roadsides, greenbelts, and temporary camps, facing shortages of food, water, and medicine. With water levels still rising, authorities have accelerated evacuation efforts in both upstream and downstream areas.
