US, Los Angeles: Boyle Heights Officers Pursue Suspect After Shooting

Los Angeles, United States - September 10, 2025 09/09/2025 10:30 pm GMT-0700 BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police and fire department responded to a report of a shooting Tuesday evening in the area of the 800 block of North Forest Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim who had been shot in the neck. Emergency crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, witnesses reported that the suspects fled the scene in a Honda Pilot at a high rate of speed. An LAPD air unit began canvassing the area and located the vehicle near the junction of the 710 and 10 freeways. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver failed to yield, leading to a pursuit. The driver made several large circles in the East Los Angeles area before heading toward downtown. Ultimately, the pursuit returned to East Los Angeles, where the driver crashed on the I-10 off-ramp at Ramona Boulevard. After the crash, three males exited the vehicle and fled in various directions. California Highway Patrol quickly apprehended one suspect, while another was captured near the Luminarias Restaurant. Officers are still searching for the third suspect. Additionally, two males in a white minivan were detained; they may have been attempting to assist the suspects in their escape.
