Storyline: Demand for drone swarm programmers soars in China [Voice_over] In China, drones are commonly used to deliver medical supplies, food orders, or people from point A to point B. But another drone use case-creating spectacular light shows- has led to the demand for professionals who can accurately program the devices to fly in intricate patterns without crashing into each other. Drone swarm flight programmers like those working at Jiangxi Aero Future General Aviation Company must be proficient in 3D algorithms to create fluid patterns with meticulous coding and flawless programing. [Sound_bite] Wu Yixuan, drone swarm flight planner, Jiangxi Aero Future General Aviation Company: "Because we're not dealing with a single drone, but hundreds or even thousands of them. They all need to coordinate with each other, so you can see that each aircraft must be at least 1.8 meters apart. The positioning and lighting changes must be precise down to the second, and the flight logic and aesthetics must also be guaranteed. Therefore, the programing must be meticulous and flawless." [Voice_over] As drone performances become a new growth point for the country's low-altitude economy, this company might be expanding. Having already completed 200 performances this year, one of the company's executives says they are considering offering upwards of 1,400 U.S. dollars per month for experienced drone swam flight planners. [Sound_bite] Li Yang, director, air entertainment division, Jiangxi Aero Future General Aviation Company: "The market is growing. With more festivals, tourism promotions being held, the audience love the show. Last year, our company's revenue from this sector was about 9.8 million U.S.dollars, and we are very confident about the future." [Voice_over] China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently recognized the job of "drone flight planner" as an official profession in the country. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the country's low altitude economy is expected to be worth about 210 billion U.S dollars by the end of the year, and more than double that at 488 billion by 2035.
