During the meeting, Emine Erdogan stated that the archaeological excavations carried out in Turkey under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Japan, and the Anatolian Archaeology Institute are very valuable.
Pointing out the importance of these studies for the future, Erdogan expressed her gratitude for the excavation work.
Emine Erdogan also wished success for the excavation that will begin on September 20 at the Ayanlar archaeological site in Sanliurfa.
Mikasa stated that the excavation works are important in terms of cultural heritage exchange between the two countries.
During the meeting, where the rich culinary cultures of the two countries were also discussed, Mikasa said that Turkey and Japan have important historical civilizations.
