The demonstrators voiced anger at Netanyahu’s government, calling for an immediate agreement to end the war and secure a prisoner exchange deal. Protesters also condemned Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza, as well as the blockade and starvation policy imposed on the territory. The Israeli army has killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
