CIVILIANS CARRYING BODYKHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - SEPT 18, 2025: Several Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Thursday, Sept. 18, while waiting for humanitarian aid near the Morag Axis in southern Gaza, hospital officials said. Bodies of the victims were taken to Nasser Hospital in the city before being buried by relatives amid scenes of grief. The attacks came as the city was experiencing a communication and internet blackout imposed by Israel for the second consecutive day, causing fear and a sense of isolation among Palestinians. The Israeli army has continued a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 65,100 Palestinians since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. On Tuesday, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory confirmed that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza.
