Australian 'Comanchero Motorcycle Club' member, 33, arrested in the Philippines over fake IDs and overstaying
A member of an Australian outlaw motorcycle gang was arrested for allegedly using fake identities and overstaying in the Philippines.
Dayle Marc George Campbell, 33, was chased down by police in the popular nightlife district of Makati City in Manila late on Monday evening.
CCTV footage shows the alleged fugitive fleeing through rain-soaked streets as he was pursued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Fugitive Search Unit.
He was seen slipping on the wet pavement before quickly standing up and crossing the road. He then crawled under a parked vehicle near a kerb to hide, but was caught by officers early Tuesday morning.
Authorities said Dayle was arrested following a complaint he was involved in drug-related activities and had been using fraudulent immigration documents.
The Aussie, who has the word 'Comanchero' tattooed on his arm in reference to the outlaw biker gang, previously went by the aliases Dion Munro and Daniel John.
BI spokesman Dana Sandoval said: 'He has a US identity and Australian identities. He has American driver's licenses, an Australian passport, a Seychelles identity. These are fraudulent.
'We placed him under surveillance to find his location because he was very elusive. When he was finally traced to Makati and he discovered he was under investigation, he tried to escape. He ran away and tried to hide but our operatives still found him by following his trail through CCTV footage.'
The BI said Dayle entered the Philippines on February 22, 2020 on an Australian passport, but failed to apply for a visa extension, making him an overstaying visitor. He escaped arrest by frequently moving between Metro Manila and the neighbouring Calabarzon Region southeast of the capital.
He was reported in Australia for violence against his girlfriend in 2021 and possession of unlicensed firearms.
The United States Drug Enforcement also confirmed Dayle was suspected of money laundering and narcotics trafficking linked to the Comanchero Motorcycle Club.
Dayle will remain under BI custody pending deportation. Officials said they were investigating if he had established a local drug network during his stay in the country.
The Comanchero Motorcycle Club, founded in Sydney in 1968, is one of Australia's most notorious outlaw biker gangs. The group has been linked to organised crime, including drug trafficking and violent clashes with rival groups.
