HR worker fired after anti-Charlie Kirk comments when 'doxxers spammed employer'
An HR worker was fired over her anti Charlie Kirk comments after doxxers spammed her workplace with hundreds of phone calls and emails, she claims.
Kimberly Hunt, 31, from Scottsdale, Arizona, posted a video on Facebook which she questioned those saying Kirk "didn't deserve to die" the same day as his death. "
Soon after, an anonymous TikTok account posted her professional headshot, company address, and phone number, encouraging followers to contact her employer.
Within hours she says she was the victim of a "mass doxxing campaign" targeting individuals who made critical comments about Charlie Kirk following his assassination."
Hundreds of strangers called phone lines and contacted email addresses linked to her employer - AIMS Companies, an industrial and environmental services provider - to harassing her co-workers, swear down the phone and call for her sacking.
She lost her job, last Tuesday (16), after her boss said the sheer amount of calls and emails were "too disruptive to the operations of the business" so she had to go, she claims."
"I was fired for the amount of phone calls that came in as a result of me being doxxed," Hunt said. "
"It got to the point where even my coworkers were getting harassed and called profanities for simply answering the phone."
"[My boss] explained that due to the amount of calls and emails, he was put in a difficult position and ultimately had to let me go because it was way too disruptive to the operations of the business."
"I explained that I have never affiliated myself with the company."
"I've never claimed to represent my company. I have made every effort possible to ensure that my views are my own."
"I was disappointed that I was terminated for the doxxing, which is completely out of my control."
"It was really eye-opening that these employers don't have backbones and they don't have the best interest of the employee at heart."
The harassment stemmed from Hunt's social media post questioning those who claimed Kirk "didn't deserve" his fate. "
While Hunt says she never explicitly stated Kirk deserved to die, she pointed to his controversial past statements.
"He was the victim of the very thing he advocated for," Hunt said in her video, referring to his gun control views."
Hunt's post also criticized Kirk's parenting, specifically referencing his public statement that he would force his daughter to carry a pregnancy to term even if she were raped.
"I think any parent who would do that to their child is not fit to be a parent," she said."
Hunt says a website called "Expose Charlie's Murderers" and a social media account "Libs of TikTok" were key players in what she called her doxxing."
She described the movement as "a collective effort to get people fired from their jobs" through employer harassment, LinkedIn comments, and email campaigns."
Hunt's firing follows a wave of complaints from employees across the country who have allegedly been let go due to similar comments following Kirk's death.
That's partially why when Hunt's boss, an attorney, called her into a Teams meeting Tuesday morning, she knew what was coming.
Hunt criticized her former employer's response, saying the company "never once extended an option for me to continue to work from home to ensure my safety"."
"They offered no measures to protect me in any capacity," she said."
Despite the termination, Hunt remains optimistic about her job prospects.
"I've had previous employers reach out to me that are in full support of my social media," she said. "
"Every previous employer I've had, I've left on good terms, and a lot of them are aligned with me because any decent human being shares the same sentiments as I do."
"I do know that MAGA and Charlie Kirk followers are looking to ensure that people are not hireable."
AIMS Companies did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
