China: China launches Geely-06 satellites in offshore rocket mission
A Smart Dragon-3 rocket launched from an offshore platform near Rizhao on Wednesday afternoon, deploying Geely-06 satellites into planned orbit as part of China's expanding commercial satellite network. The rocket lifted off at 15:56 Beijing Time from the sea off the coast of Shandong Province. The mission marked the eighth flight of the Smart Dragon-3 and was conducted by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The satellites are part of Geely's GEESATCOM constellation, designed to support autonomous driving, maritime operations, and emergency communications.
