On September 24 in Huichang County, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, severe storm winds whipped up by Typhoon Ragasa toppled a heavy parking lot barricade, trapping a mother and her two children who had been sheltering beneath it while riding an electric scooter.

Traffic police, urban management officers, and bystanders rushed from all directions to the scene. Working together, they lifted the several-ton barricade and successfully rescued the trapped family.

Fortunately, the fallen barricade was partially supported by the electric scooter, leaving a vital gap that prevented serious injury. Because rescuers arrived within a minute, the mother and children were quickly freed and taken to the hospital, where they were found to be unharmed.
