As China's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival both approach, vibrant flower decorations and festive plant sculptures have been set up throughout the capital city of Beijing, creating a lively festive atmosphere. In the heart of Tian'anmen Square, a 16-meter-high giant "flower basket" installation titled "Blessing the Motherland" has been installed, attracting numerous tourists who pause to capture the moment with photos. This year's design highlights Beijing's city flower Chinese rose, with the lotus representing beauty, the mountain peony symbolizing progress, and the olive branch signifying peace. Accompanied by soaring dove statues, the installation conveys heartfelt blessings for the prosperity and strength of the nation. Along Chang'an Avenue, the main east-west thoroughfare running through the center of Beijing, 10 three-dimensional flower beds, originally designed to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, have been refreshed in preparation for the upcoming National Day celebrations. Major parks throughout the city are filled with the fragrance of osmanthus and the vibrant blooms of chrysanthemums, with over 40 floral displays completed, presenting a picturesque autumn scene for residents and visitors alike. China's National Day is celebrated on October 1, with a holiday period extending from October 1 to 7. This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival occurs on October 6, resulting in a combined holiday lasting a total of eight days. Shotlist: Beijing, China - Sept 26, 2025: 1.
