JERUSALEM, PALESTINE - SEPTEMBER 27, 2025: Israeli army blew up the home of a Palestinian family in the town of Al-Qubeiba, northwest of occupied Jerusalem on Saturday, Sept. 27.
A large number of Israeli forces stormed the town, surrounded the home of slain Mutana Naji Amro, who was allegedly involved in an attack on Israelis in early September, and forced the residents to evacuate. Residents of neighboring homes were also ordered to leave before the army rigged Amro’s house with explosives and detonated it.
Nafiz Hamouda, mayor of al-Qubeiba, told Anadolu that the Israeli army "had previously raided the family’s home, issued a demolition order, and gave them a 10-day deadline to evacuate it before blowing it up today, Saturday."
He added that the explosion caused near-total destruction of the house and significant damage to nearby homes. Hamouda further noted that the occupation seeks to inflict harm on as many citizens as possible.
